The Condo
La Jolla de Mismaloya condominiums operate like a hotel, featuring a front desk, maid service, and 24-hour security. For your convenience, all linens and towels are provided. An on-site restaurant offers poolside service and delivery to your condominium.

The property offers a wide range of top-tier amenities. Elevators and stairs connect you to a stunning outdoor pool, two hot tubs, a fully equipped gym, billiards room, reception area, laundry facilities, and beautifully maintained gardens. Shaded pergolas, tranquil gazebos, and various dining and lounging areas—whether in full sun or cool shade—are scattered throughout the grounds for your enjoyment.
Just down a few steps away from the pool and tennis courts, you’ll find direct access to the beach, inviting you to dip your toes in the sand or explore the shoreline at your leisure. It's a very picturesque beach with only one hotel and local Palapa restaurants on one side. It is great for swimming and snorkeling.
You can also hire a boat to take you snorkeling at Los Arcos or full a day of fishing. Being in the oceans offers a spectacular view of the coastline, so, if you don't want to hire a boat, renting a paddleboard at Paddle Zone is a great option.
GETTING THERE
Traveling to Puerto Vallarta is simple and convenient, thanks to the Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). The airport is located just about 25 minutes from the city’s main attractions, including Downtown and the vibrant Zona Romántica, and about 30-45 minute drive from the condo.
There are numerous nonstop flights from major U.S. and Canadian cities, such as Dallas, Houston, Denver, Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Montreal. If you're flying from Dallas or Houston, you can expect a quick and easy two-hour plane ride—making Puerto Vallarta an ideal escape to the Mexican coast. You can leave in the morning and be on the beach before noon!

Most major airlines offer regular service to PVR, with flight prices that vary depending on the season. From Oklahoma, we typically see round-trip fares in the $450–$750 range during the winter months (coach seats). Prices can be slightly lower in the summer and tend to increase during the holidays, so booking in advance is always a good idea.
Once you land in Puerto Vallarta, be ready for a bit of chaos as you exit the terminal. The arrival area can feel overwhelming, and we jokingly refer to it as “the gauntlet.” You'll likely be approached by a number of people trying to get your attention. Do not stop to speak with anyone inside the terminal. Most are timeshare reps or salespeople offering “free” transportation that usually comes with a catch.

To get from Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) to Mismaloya, your best options are a taxi, a private transfer service, or Uber – all offering convenient and direct transportation. While a taxi is the fastest way, private transfers offer comfort, climate control, and the convenience of being met upon arrival, potentially with flight monitoring included for delays. Ubers often offer better pricing and function just like Uber in US.

Taking a taxi from PVR airport to Mismaloya is the best and quickest option, estimated to take around 20-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and costing between $900-$1100 Mexican pesos. Just look for airport staff in official TAXI shirts—they’ll guide you to the correct line and vehicle. Curbside taxi service is straightforward and well-organized once you’re outside the terminal.
Numerous private transfer services operate from PVR to Mismaloya, offering a comfortable and reliable option. These services typically include a meet and greet, have a waiting period for flight delays, and ensure all costs are covered upfront. If you’ve pre-arranged transportation, follow the instructions from your service provider about where to meet your driver. If not, taxis are easy to find.
Uber also operates in Puerto Vallarta and can be a cash-free alternative to taxis, with prices usually little less than compared to taxis. Please note that Uber is not allowed to pick up passengers at PVR airport, so you need to do a bit of walking but it is easy once you’ve done it. Exit the airport, go left, over the pedestrian bridge. Cabs and Ubers will be waiting.
